Cool Edit 1.31 (on EPAS as cool131.zip) has full amplitude (volume)
envelope. It's an envelope waveform which allows you to put an infinite
number of break-points, but I'm not sure exactly which parts are Attack,
Decay, Sustain or Release, or how many there are of each!
Cool Edit has some nice effects, like delay, echo, flange, etc., and also
has filtering! (sorry, no resonance) :)
It doesn't have those neat LFO's (tremelo & vibrato) like Patch Maker
Lite does either...

Is this in reference to Patch Maker Lite (PMAK110, or PMAKER)?
Which other GUSDK program(s) allows envelopes?
And what are PATCH.EXE and PED.EXE?
Thanks!

Subject: Help with my MIDI adapter?
Hello all,
I have been trying to get my GUS MIDI adapter to work and NADA! This is the
setup:
Korg M1 for controller set to MIDI channel for send and recieve.
Cubase/Score for Windows version 1.02
Using the Latest GUS Windows drivers.
Under Cubase, you select to use the MME drivers for MIDI and then it should
all take care of itself. When I try playing back existing sequences, nothing
sounds on my M1. In addition, the little LED lite on the MIDI adapter does
not light up (on the MIDI out port).
When I try to record by sending midi data from the Korg M1 to the sequencer, the
little LED lite over the MIDI in port flickers(showing activity), but the
sequencer registers absolutely NADA!
I get no different results when using The Midisoft sequencer.
Anyone know whats wrong?
BTW - I am inches from throwing my GUS in the trash and just getting myself
a legitimate MPU interface ( no matter how f___ing good the GUS sounds
in the Future Crew Demos!).

This is a truly lame thing to put in the digest so I will attempt short.
I cannot seem to find a good location where music sharing is going on on
the internet ie. 669 mods, midi files, etc. If someone knows one or could
point me in the right direction, please e-mail me direct instead of wasting
more digest space. PS. I don't get Usenet here... :(
